On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman is joined by Carter and Thomas from the band Futurebirds. The interview begins on a light note, with Pipeman joking around and getting the band members laughing. They discuss how tedious press interviews can be and the typical questions they receive about their band name, which leads to a funny discussion about the different ways bands come up with their names. Pipeman then asks the band about their music genre and suggests they come up with their own genre that only their band is in. Carter describes their band as "a rusty chainsaw dropped into a tropical aquarium," and Thomas coins the name "Chainsaw Cyro." They further expand on this and come up with "Cosmic Chainsaw" as their unique music genre, which they joke will catch on soon. The conversation then shifts to the music festival they're attending, Shaky Knees, and how they're enjoying their time there. They talk about the different bands they've seen, such as The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, 311, and The Mars Volta. They discuss how surprised they were by the crowd size at 311's performance compared to The Mars Volta. You can find Futurebirds all over social media if you want to connect with them, and the guys are pretty responsive over Instagram so be sure to leave them a nice message!
