On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks Matt and Mayo from Karma’s Puppet live from the Bloodstock Festival in Derbyshire, UK.
Pipeman starts by expressing his love for the name, which spans back to when they wrote a song for another band they were in a few years ago, which stuck and they liked it, plus no one else had taken it so they stuck with it.
They guys talk about what the band is all about, but it mainly being about having fun with life. They talk about how things can be shit at times but you have to make the best out of bad situations.
Pipeman asks them about how they got into the festival and they tell us about the Masses for Chesterfield competition which they got to the final of and eventually won, which gave them a spot in the festival. Mayo talks about how it hasn’t felt real for them for the last few months with the opportunities they’ve had.
When talking about their music, they say it’s hard to pinpoint what it is because they have so many different influences, but they would say they’re most like Llama God, with big choruses and lots of riffs
You can check the guys out on Bandcamp under Karmas Puppet to see the merch, or pick some up at one of their gigs. They guys have social media, like Instagram and Facebook so be sure to check them out there too!
