On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Craigen from Heathen live from the Bloodstock Festival in Derbyshire, UK.
Pipeman and Craigen reminisce over some festivals from back in the 80’s, before Pipeman asks him to explain what his music sounds like. He says people would consider them thrash metal, but he would say it’s more melodic so it’s more like heavy metal. Ultimately, they don’t care what it sounds like as long they like it. They go into how bands are becoming formulaic but they don’t get why people wouldn’t want bands to get experimental
Heathen are in the process of wrapping up 10 weeks of touring throughout Europe. They’re going to go home for a week and then they’ll head to South America before doing a US tour with War Bringer. After that they will head to east to Japan, Thailand, Singapore and Australia. When that’s all done, they’re finished touring for the year and will jump into some new material.
You can follow the guys on Instagram @heathonthrash where you can keep up with the band. If you want to check out some merch you can visit heathonthrash.bigcartel.com or shop.heathonthrash.com.
